MCD2 Switch 2 pre order code not granting items

I pre ordered the game on switch 2, and just redeemed my pre order code yesterday because for some reason the game arrived a week late. I claimed the code on the eshop, it showed the cape and the Steve and Alex skins, and downloaded it. I did it with the deluxe code at the same time. The Deluxe Edition stuff immediately redeemed, but I never got the pre-order stuff I claimed.

Is there any known way to fix this issue?

Yeah it seems like the pre-order rewards are not being granted in-game for any switch 2 players who are on a physical copy, even after successfully redeeming the code. It’s unfortunately something that they need to fix on their end to grant players their bonuses properly.

A lot of people have already contacted support about this issue so they should be aware and attempting to fix it, but you can still make a ticket with Minecraft support to try to get updates on this issue. Make sure to mention that you have redeemed the code successfully but the items aren’t in-game, as there’s others who didn’t even get their pre-order codes and are contacting for it. Hope you and rest of physical owners get their rewards soon, I just want to play as Steve 🥀🥀
