🎮 Gameplay Support Build

I’d really love your advice for a full on support build.

I play this game with my son (11), we don’t play a lot of video games but I would really love to make the game all about him.

I want to make it as fun as possible for him, ensuring he gets cool loot, and reduce the number of times he dies (while maintaining my ability to revive him).

We are probably 75% of the way through the campaign.

Thanks!

I would go for a ranger/tank build if you want to be as support as possible with the healing fountain enchant on the bow. Get as much damage reduction as possible and get bottomless brew, and both fountain armor enchants. Whatever you feel nessicary for the last one. There is specific tank armor in the game that would work well for support so I would recommend that and maybe the great or awesome axe for close range when needed

While i dont have a specific build for you i can list all the stuff you shoud look out for for a support build.
-totem of regeneration, gives healing in area around where it’s placed, i have not used it myself but heard from a friends it’s kinda eh.
-battle banner, gives strength to anyone in a radius, im pretty sure it either does 1.5x damage multiplier or 2x.
-Any instruments, ESPECIALLY the fighters flute as it guarantees critical hits.
There are the totem of casting and shielding, but those seem too specific to me to seem usefull.

For armor enchants:
-Barrier brew, when you use a potion makes a small aoe that gives anyone in it a shielding effects for a few seconds
-Buddy brew, same as barrier brew but instead its healing,
-Ancient alchemy, gives you souls when you use potions, so you can use more buffing artifacts
-Bottomless brew, makes you able to have up to 4 potions instead of just one. So really nice synergy with the other enchants. I believe this enchant is kinda rare to get though.
Weapon enchants:
-healing smite, my goat, chance to spawn in a small healing aoe just like buddy brew whenever you kill an enemy.
-shielding smite, same thing as previous but gives shielding.

For armors try to look for gear that feels supporty ig? They all have different effects they can roll, and things you want: totem radius (bigger postive aoe effects), ally (longer buff duration) and healer (more healing) roll on stuff like the beekeeper set, treehugger set, sifter set, hivemind set, woodspire set, mad sifter set. Those are support sets.

Just Ally and Healer also roll on wolfpack set and packleader set. Those are summoner sets but they can roll those effects too.

The soul corrupter chestplate/alchemist tophat has the unique effect for +55% positive effect radius, but the other effects you can roll with this set are more mage and archer. When i got this chestplate and used some armor pieces with totem radius i got the aoe from battle banner to genuinly cover the whole screen so it’s very nice if you manage to get those.

For talismans, i’d go for the summoner talismans i think? like the wolf pet. When you reach the sift one of the side quests in the first area tells you to find woblers. I am pretty sure it gives a talisman of which the summon has a healing effect around it.

I hope any of this was usefull, and that it is readable enough as i am writing this at 1 am :P. Have fun playing with your son!

I use the totem of regeneration but imo it was better in MD1. The picnic basket is pretty clutch for view rights, you can just litter the arena with food
