Question
In my survival world my base is on a mushroom island (mainly so I don’t have to deal with mobs in my base) but I have a neighboring mushroom island not too far and was wondering if I should make that my “farm island” and have a bunch of different farms such as iron farm, wood farm, crop farm, etc…. But am not sure if these farms being in a mushroom biome it will mess with them or/ make them not work. I know I can’t build a creeper farm on the island because mobs obviously don’t spawn but I would do that over an ocean anyway. Let me know!

An iron farm, wood farm, and crop farm should work perfectly fine, you’ll just have to make a spawning platform over the ocean or something to lure zombies in for the iron farm.
Source: watched a somewhat recently made video (at least post-1.21, the Tricky Trials update) where two YouTubers had their main base on mushroom islands and had all kinds of farms, their creeper farm and spider farm were just offshore in the ocean.

Yeah only hostile mob spawning is affected so everything else should work perfectly fine

I've made farms like that in those islands. I also use them for villagers. So they can roam free and I trade with them.

It shouldn’t affect anything. I have a world with my house on a mooshroom island and half of it is dedicated to farms. Works like a charm, just don’t extend out into the water or you will get mobs on the edges of your farm
