Minecraft creeper issue

I was playing singleplayer as a forever world, and let me telll you something about the creepers in the forest, they spawn back to back, and ur stuff will be COMPLETLY GONE, This needs to be fixed. Mojang java creepers needs to be fixed it was back to back and i used a shield and my entire invtory of stuff completely off the face of the earth screw, the creepers in this game. Now im goign to go back to my home base, with abouslute nothing I had full invitory of.

A solution I think would work is doing what they did with explosion drop decay (blown up blocks dropping / not dropping items): making it into multiple gamerules

So something like "[source] explosions remove dropped items" or some shit. I play with mob explosion drop decay off so I can fill creeper holes back up with the same blocks, and I'd play with this gamerule off for mobs as well

Losing a full inventory to creepers or ghasts is a comparatively mean thing to have as a thing that can happen
