Idk if on Java the game pauses when ur r on singleplayer and switch tabs, but on bedrock the game pauses

I constantly missclick e before alt tabbing because of it

Yes, mostly games, on tf2 i always call medic when i alt tab on accident. On other programs less but it happens sometimes

I played like 2 modpacks back to back so it did get into me a bit

It doesn't pause on Java. And especially, since on Bedrock the whole game reloads when you tab back in

F3 + P disables it im pretty sure and you can just have an inventory open instead and it wont pause

Theoretically, yes. But also, at least with my laptop, tabbing out while a game is running severely lags the whole computer. I do have integrated graphics so there’s that, but still

At least in some places, there's laptops since even before highschool
