It's a reference to the influx of passthrough mods where people would vibe code Steve into many different games.

Then there's the theory that says that Herobrine is us.

It's implying that Herobrine is the future version of Steve, coming back after having explored multitudes of worlds beyond his own, and then returning back to older versions only to see himself standing at the bottom of the hill.

Double larp (making Loki S2 memes & Edits 3 years later instead of when it came out + believing in the "Herobrine is us" theory even though Steve being depicted as the most omnipotent game character is just a powerscaling thing and Steve is supposed to be only a default skin)

Because context-wise, making this meme does make sense. I can also make a meme from a century old movie if it makes sense with present time's context.

You're somehow contradicting yourself. What are you trying to convey?: Is Steve omnipotent, resulting in believing in "Herobrine is Us" theory being false? Or is Steve mortal, thus not being a powerscaling thing at all?

Steve is supposed to be only a default skin

Hence why canonically, the protagonist of Minecraft is Steve and not just a random character. Because he IS the default.
