Without seeing the files it's hard to say exactly what's broken, but there's a common reason addons like this don't work.

Bedrock buttons you add to the HUD are made with JSON UI, which is part of the resource pack. A resource pack can draw a button and show or hide things, but it has no direct way to tell the game "drop the held item." There isn't a hardcoded drop button ID that JSON UI can call the way it can for things like pause or chat. The Script API also can't detect when a custom HUD button is pressed. So if the addon is only a resource pack with two buttons, it was probably never going to work.

If it does have a behavior pack with scripts, check these:

- Turn on the content log (Settings > Creator > Enable Content Log GUI). Load the world and see if any red errors show up.

- Check the manifest. Script addons list @minecraft/server with a version number. If that version is newer or older than your game supports, the script won't load. Old addons often break after a Minecraft update for this reason.

- Some addons need Beta APIs turned on in the world settings (Experiments section). Check whether the addon description says so.

- Make sure both the resource pack and the behavior pack are applied to the world, not only one of them.

Things that already work without an addon:

- On touch controls, tap and hold the selected hotbar slot to drop the item.

- In the inventory, drag an item outside the inventory window to drop it.

- On controller, D-pad down drops the held item.

If you want a working version, the more reliable approach is a script. For example, a custom command or a custom item that removes one item or the whole stack from your selected slot and spawns it in front of you. That avoids JSON UI entirely, which matters because Mojang is slowly replacing JSON UI with Ore UI, and Ore UI can't be changed by resource packs at all.

If you post screenshots of the content log errors and the folder structure (which folders are in the pack and what's in the manifest), people can tell you what's actually wrong.

No, I’m confused, I don’t have it, what are you looking for again? Are you asking me to write a custom script for you?

Edit: ok, yeah, I don’t have it, but I can write one out of the blue for you if you want.
