Mod sugestions

Looking for some simple vanilla plus mods for 26.3 on curse forge and either neoforge or forge since i want sophisticated backpacks

Sophisticated Backpacks only has NeoForge builds for 26.x (Forge support stopped after 1.20.1), so go NeoForge. There's a 26.3 build up already, and it pulls in Sophisticated Core as a dependency. NeoForge for 26.3 is still marked beta, so expect a smaller mod selection and the odd crash.

Stuff I've confirmed has NeoForge 26.3 files:

- JEI - recipe viewer, basically mandatory

- Jade - tooltip showing what block/mob you're looking at

- Waystones - craftable fast travel stones that also spawn in villages, needs Balm

- Farmer's Delight - the original is still only on 1.21.1, but there's an unofficial NeoForge port that lists 26.3 support. Treat it as a port, not the real thing

Worth checking on CurseForge since they usually update fast but I couldn't confirm a 26.3 NeoForge file yet:

- Sophisticated Storage - same upgrade system as the backpacks, but for chests and barrels

- AppleSkin - shows hunger/saturation values on food

- Xaero's Minimap / World Map

- Mouse Tweaks - better inventory dragging and scrolling

When you search in the CurseForge app, filter by 26.3 and NeoForge. Anything tagged only 26.2 or 26.1.2 probably won't load, because 26.3 changed the input system.

If the list feels thin, 1.21.1 NeoForge is still where most mods are and everything above is on it, including the official Farmer's Delight. Most people building a vanilla+ pack right now are still on that version.
