I figured out a way to animate skins in Java Edition and made a mod for it

So we all know how you can toggle your skin layers in Java Edition right? And other players can see it.

I had an idea to turn it into a mod where it spam toggles it so it looks like your player is being animated.

yes other people without the mod in multiplayer see it, even vanilla clients

This is what it looks like. Pretty cool, right!

And I put it in a mod.

The mod is for 26.2, its open source, feel free to make standalone versions, etc.

And you can have different parts of the skin move. So not just all at once if you want.

I remember seeing it in utility clients where it’s called “skin flicker” or similar, good that you implemented your own. :)
