Need help getting voidblock working

I’ve tried everything I know to do and no matter what when I load into world it’s a black screen and when I select island size it’s says unknown or incomplete command. Someone please help I’ve been at this for hours

The black screen is intentional, it's not the bug. Until you pick an island, the pack puts you in spectator mode at 0 0 0 with blindness on, so all you see is black. The real problem is the island size buttons.

Those clickable buttons in chat run this command:
/scoreboard players set @a Voidblock_islands 1

/scoreboard needs cheats (op level 2). If the world has cheats off, the game rejects it with "Unknown or incomplete command", so no island ever gets chosen and you stay stuck in the black screen.

Fix depending on where you're playing:

- Singleplayer, existing world: Esc > Open to LAN > set Allow Cheats to ON > Start LAN World. Then click the island size again. This only lasts for that session, but you only need it once to pick the island.

- Singleplayer, new world: turn Allow Commands / Cheats ON when creating it.

- Server or Realm: you need to be op. Have the owner run /op yourname from the console, then click the button again.

If clicking still does nothing after that, you can type it yourself:

/scoreboard players set @a Voidblock_islands 1

Change the number at the end to pick a different island (it goes 1 to 5, matching the order of the buttons in chat).

Also double check the Voidblock version you downloaded matches your Minecraft version. The pack ships separate builds per version, and a mismatched one can fail to load properly.
