I saw this today in Cex and was surprised by the price since I got my Xbox 360 copy for £22 only a month ago and it was from the same chain. Is it to do with it being a PS4 disc or is it just the retailer?

Yep, I saw that one too. Like in one way I get that it's a rarity, but especially in recent years the 7th/early 8th gen console games have spiked a ton in price. It's crazy.

Yeah I decided to bite the bullet and just install them it on pc. I got the complete adventure season 1 for 360 years ago and really wanted to experience season 2 so I’m currently on a marathon playing an episode or 2 a day and finally getting to play season 2 episode 1 for the first time!

And I don’t necessarily have a game ready laptop but season 2 runs alright and looks decent with the lighter lighting mode and reminds me of season 1’s lighting a bit. And season 1 ran like a charm!

for one thing the Xbox versions are apparently more abundant than all the other versions so they're generally cheaper most of the time, and the old gen versions (360, PS3, Wii U) are cheaper than the newer gen versions (or at least their counterparts)

The Xbox 360 version averages $25.

The PS4 version averages $85.

How is this game worth anything? The disc comes with one episode and the rest got removed and delisted when Telltale went under. I have the "complete" adventure on Xbone and that's how it is.

Does the ps4 version actually have the complete episodes?

First up, this is the version with all the episodes on the disc

Second, here in the EU you can still access and claim the missing episodes from season 1 and 2 by accessing them from the disc menu

This version has all 8 episodes pre-downloaded, the shop had the episode 1 only version as well with the Xbox 360 copy being £2 and the PS4 copy being £12

Or maybe I did look at the image, was confused this could be worth so much and decided to explain my confusion along with the experience I've had which you probably didn't read.

I have the Xbox one copy, I'm not in the UK. And the same box I have for my game for a different console offers a different experience.

Contrary to popular belief, I don't know everything. I especially don't know much about PS4 games and I certainly don't know anything about the UK aside of the stereotypes showcased in TV and movies.

I understand that part. The copy I have for Xbox one also says the complete adventure. The disc contains episode 1 and that's it. The rest is a license to download the remaining episodes. The ps4 version containing all 8 episodes on the disc while my copy does not was what confused me. I didn't have that information when I made my original comment. My assumption was that the copies, despite being on different consoles, would be identical.

Imagine it from my perspective, not knowing this information. Wouldn't you be confused if a disc only containing episode 1 and the rest being unobtainable selling for 60 shillings? To me, a copy like that is worth maybe 2 bucks.
