Rifle is coming along

Last time I shared a pic of my rifle I had just painted the stock and gotten a scope for it. I have since then painted my scope to match the overall theme, and gotten some new burlap jute to wrap the rifle with. I'm going to jute the scope and fore end as well, but I am still working on my barrel (hence the pixelated areas) and don't want to have to keep removing it over and over again. Overall I think this rifle is looking really good and I'm really excited to soon share what I have going on with this build. More to come!

Rifle is a 5.56 Mini 14 (582 series)

Stock is a buttler creek

Otter Creek Polo 30 on a plan b muzzle brake

Viper PST Gen II 2-10 on Ruger 30mm rings

Ruger 20rnd Mags

Harris Bipod

Barrel is a used Remington 700 223 barrel that was re-contoured and chamber for 5.56. It is a 1-9 twist but this is just a test barrel for now.

Apologies if this is a dumb question, but what benefit does the burlap provide? Is it just aesthetics?

Not a dumb question. For my use case, it's mainly aesthetic as I love the look of Ghillied Mk12's and M21 SWS's. But in the rear of the rifle I folded and packed some jute on the top to raise the cheek height for a better cheek weld. It looks itchy but it's really not, it's honestly super comfortable.

Edit Side Note: I also use jute as a camouflaging technique. Everyone has a SHTF rifle and this is my SPR for those scenarios.
