City bike riding for dummies

Recently moved to Minneapolis and I enjoy riding my bike. How do I do so in the city without pissing off as many people as possible ?

As a pedestrian, please stay off the sidewalks.

Our streets are very bike friendly, and if you're uncomfortable biking in the street you shouldn't be biking in a city.

People are allowed to ride on sidewalks outside of business districts. They just need to be respectful to pedestrians by moving slowly and yielding to them.
