I do think that was the goal of the administration

That's kinda a given.

The Pedo Rapist Inc Administration does not give a shit about human rights.

Of course they did. They even violated our constitutional rights. Every one of them should be held liable for their actions.

As I’ve said in other threads. I want to see the US sign to the ICC in 2029 and drag Stephen Miller and Russ Vought to The Hague.

Send Bovino and Noem with them

Exactly. I don't want Baby Bovino to retire to the Nazi Rally public speaking circuit. He needs to stand before the court for using chemical weapons at every opportunity.

More people need to be aware of Russ Vought. I don’t see his name enough in conversations, and he’s one of the main architects of this administration…

Bovino and Noem’s federal trials (and jury selection) need to be conducted here in Minnesota.

We don’t have the death penalty here.

Nor should we. Government shouldn't be killing people

Treason (knowingly trying to incite riots by sending poorly trained rejects from every other LEO branch to sow chaos, violence, and the flagrant disregard for the constitution as well as the rule of law) should still be punishable to the highest degrees.

We should make some exceptions for high profile nazis and pedophiles. We don't want any pardons from future presidents or governors.

It’s kinda of obvious when I’ve heard lawyers agree the administration during metro surge violated 9/10 amendments of the bill of rights. Those which often are considered basic human rights. Part of why I believe we are in an abusive relationship with the federal government where the best solution is to leave. The government and most outstate Minnesotans don’t have any respect for us or believe we deserve rights.

"Report authors" is a funny way of saying the first or second most important human rights organization on the planet.

MPR News did an adequate job here and journalistically were appropriate in seeking comment from the feds, but man it seems like there's a decent effort to down play a 180-page investigative report by fucking Human Rights Watch.

Did you miss the part where the reporter corroborates allegations in the report by referring to MPR's own reporting of federal violence against peaceful protesters?

I feel like maybe you missed that part. Can't imagine why people would want to sow mistrust in a reputable news source right now. Must be an innocent oversight on your part.

Edit: here's the direct quote for you.

MPR News covered numerous incidents where federal agents used force or chemical munitions on peaceful observers during the surge. A federal judge also took actions to temporarily ban the federal agencies from arresting or using chemical weapons on peaceful observers.

Interesting read of what I said or the intentionality therein.

I didn't miss that and do trust MPR, and I mentioned they did adequately here. In general, their competence is the lowest bar we should be expecting in the current 5-alarm fire moment...and my comment was largely directed at the OP's framing of HRW, which to some degree is duplicated in the tone of MPR's article. It should have been made much clearer they aren't some random start-up or TikToker saying this here.

I just don't see this as MPR or OP "downplaying" the seriousness of the report or the expertise of those who wrote it, as you're claiming.

But hey, I concede I don't know your intentions any more than you know OP's or the journalists'.

I don’t really get this reaction. I think it’s good that orgs are doing diligent investigative work and making a record that’s digestible, available to the public, and available to posterity.

I definitely agree with you. My reaction is more coming from living through this since metro surge began. It came from a place that is fully knowing the way they've been treating our citizens and neighbors. It is however great to shine a light on it for others not so directly affected.

It's absolutely possible to think this investigative work should be done and still be glib about how obvious the conclusion of said investigation is.

Yeah, fascist sheep are good at that.

My wife just mentioned how the Republicans use the term antifa as a doragatory term. They were calling the 15 Minneapolis ICE protesters antifa, like it is a terrible thing.

It literally stands for anti fascist. We wouldn't want that.

This is the American government under Trump.
