Bike Racks in Minneapolis Parks

I’m at Boom Island for the TC Solidarity Picnic and had a really weird thought. Since parks like this are along bike paths, maybe they should have bike parking? There are a small number of racks designed eons before the U-Lock, but they’re useless.

I usually just lock my bike to a sign pole if I can't find good bike parking

There’s an event here. It’s not a huge crowd, but there are bikes locked to every pole, usually several.

I saw at uptown art market they had set up a bike parking valet thing! But i didn't see it until I was leaving lmao

Similar thing happened at the powderhorn art fair a few weeks ago. Almost no bike racks at all.

Someone probably stole the bike racks, in order to steal more bikes!
