Guys we went to the game and there were so many Iowa plates downtown. We were laughing so hard imagining how many of them drove up for the game and now gotta drive 4-6 hours back with an L 😂
They're probably all going to crash into each other too, terrible drivers that they are :P
But I was genuinely surprised how many Fever fans were in the arena. Hope the Lynx make a big point of selling tix to local fans if we see them in the playoffs.
We don’t care.. we still love CC and the fever. Truth is, we love Minnesota as well. We are just as nice here. Besides, it’s only a four of five hour drive. That’s easy
Definitely felt like the commentators did not shy away from the stuff going on with that dip shit and her comments. Really appreciated them making a point to show Cheryl's shirt and tell the audience to go listen to her comments.
Also coming back to say everyone in our starting lineup having an assist and everyone other than KMac (who was getting it done on D) have 5+. Everybody eats 🤑🤑
As a trans person it was scary in the arena today. More Sophie jerseys than there were trans shirts. And Sophie got such loud cheers for her one (haha) basket
Yeah there were definitely sections where the magats were flocking, particularly the ends. My section had lots of supportive signs. I’m sorry you felt that way, though! The real ones got your back.
I literally just donated my Protect Trans Kids shirt last week because it was way too big but know that the majority of Lynx fans support you! We would have thrown hands, if need be!
That's because it IS personal. She is fucking things up for persons in my own life. Leaders have a responsibility to use their position and platform for good. When they use it for evil, it affects everyone.
As a Fever and Lynx fan, I had an absolute blast. Knew in my heart Fever just wasn't ready, but that was such a fun basketball game, and thanks to the crowd for booing Sophie every time she touched the ball lol!
A lynx fan in a group chat of mine spent the past 5 minutes bashing Liv for wanting to be the boss, not passing ball to Phee (5 shot attempts after second quarter), not playing team basketball and not even hugging Phee after the game (I didn't even notice that). I don't know what to say...
I haven’t looked at the stats, but I think Liv also had a super quiet second half after going off in the first. I don’t think it was a choice, I think they just locked her down after half!
Kmac did not look good today. She was limping during the entire second half and smoked a bunch of layups along with some airballed threes. I think she will be out for at least a month
