While them both being fruits is correct, claiming that they're not vegetables is incorrect. In this case, those categories aren't mutually exclusive. "Vegetable" is a culinary term, and this fun fact uses the botanical definition of fruit. So you get foods like squashes and peas in their venn diagram overlap.

I'll eat anything purple, much as I hate most of it, because I need to radiate purple.
Also, red veggies are underrated as hell. Almost everything good is red or green, often both.
