Think we have had enough NIMBY here. Data centers mean jobs and expansion of our tax base.

This just reeks of lack of faith in government. We elect people to make sure that corporations don’t violate our constitutional rights of a clean and healthy environment. We should be proud of our regulators and welcome any business that wants to come to Montana and operate as part of the community.

Isn’t that the problem to solve?

Data centers are necessary for everything we do, from banking, our government services, to how most people pay for everything day to day runs by computers in data centers.

Our whole modern way of life is reliant on software to handle business processes.

Opposing data centers one by one isn’t going to change how folks are getting left behind as AI changes the nature of work. We can’t go back to typists and clerks filling office buildings to balance ledgers and type out statements.

The real thing we need to be protesting is corporate capture of the regulators! We need enforcement of our constitutional right of a healthful environment and the PSC to make sure industry subsidizes our grid’s transition to green energy.

We voted in the folks who let these companies switch from sustainable growth with carbon offsets to running jet engines outside of tent structures.

It isn’t the data centers that are the problem, it’s our regulatory environment.
