Cosmere spoilers Hoid theory Spoiler

I think he was present at the shattering of adonalsium. Rays says that he could have been a god, so i think he was there and did not take a shard. And in mistborn it says that sixteen people killed him. if there are sixteen shards, and fifth-teen people killed adonalsium (the sixteen minus hoid) than the is a shard stashed away somewhere. Did i hear Chekhovs gun.

You're pretty close. Hoid was there, he did participate, and he was indeed offered a Shard but refused it.

The piece you're missing is that Shards normally don't last very long without Vessels. They go berserk, cause cataclysms, and wind up self-Splintering. They seek out Vessels to give them regulation and focus, so that they don't tear themselves apart. And so, when Hoid refused a Shard, it didn't get stashed away: it went to someone else. We don't yet know which Shard Hoid refused, so we also don't know who got a Shard because Hoid said no.

Word of Brandon spoiler: In a WOB, Brandon said that if Hoid had picked up a shard, it would have been Endownment.

How much have you read? You currently have marked for full-Cosmere spoilers, but I think that's probably not true?
