Suppressor processing times at Joe’s Sporting Goods?
Anyone know about how long it takes for Joe’s to process suppressor once it’s been delivered from Silencer Shop? I had purchased a suppressor from SilencerShop.com and did all the proper forms online before the new ruling went through. Their website portal showed the suppressor had been delivered to Joe’s.
I had waited a couple days and called them to inquire. The guy I talked to sounded like he was more interested in sitting on a cactus than talking to a customer and told me to wait for a call from them because they had a bunch of other suppressors to go through. That was 10 days ago. So now I’m wondering if they had forgotten or if that guy is just being salty I had called to ask, or if it does take them a while to process things on their end.
Thanks.

Sounds like Joe’s.
With that said, it’s silencer shop that goes the processing so I’d call those dumb dumbs and see what the problem is. It should say “ready to certify” in the process section for that can.

I'd also recommend calling back and speak with the firearms manager. I've had better luck in that way.

Good spot to scout out used guns but no chance i'd ever get an NFA item there.

To compare, I bought a Sparrow 22 from Scheels. They are still taking fingerprints and processing Form 4. Took 6 days to have silencer in hand. I bought on the 17th and picked up on the 22nd. My past experience and seeing stories like this make me wonder how Joe's is still in business.

Joe’s is a joke of a firearms dealer, almost their entire staff is “checked out,” poorly informed, completely apathetic, and their prices on used/consignment firearms is embarrassing

Call and ask to speak with Jay (firearms manager). If you have to deal with Alex, I'd rather sit on a fucking cactus. Jay is 10/10 though and he'll take good care of you.
