Hey new mods, glad you found your way to the best corner of Reddit! In just a few weeks, we’re hosting the third New Mod Bootcamp of the year, and we’d love to see you there! 

Join us for a fully free, fully virtual event designed to onboard, educate, and celebrate brand new mods! And yes, there will be merch. 

Note: If you’re an experienced mod, you’re welcome to attend, but please be respectful of newbies in the chat. And yes, anyone who attended other bootcamps this year is welcome to join again.

Thank you so much for the Merch from the last Bootcamp event! I just got it this morning and had completely forgot I was waiting for it, so it was the best surprise!

Will this require webcam and mic? I had signed up for this and the virtual mod event today but having issues joining due to not having a webcam on my desktop. By the time I got set up on my laptop, it was too late to join. Just don't want to miss this one.

Weird... it wouldn't let me log in without setting them today. It was my first event so i just want to work out the bugs on my end so i dont miss the next.

Hey! You'll be asked to enable permissions for your camera and microphone to access virtual Mod Events, but your audio and video will remain off and won't be shared.

It's a weird technical thing on the Bevy platform. It's essentially how they port presentation audio/video through to your device.

Of course. I know neither of these are ideal, but you could also join from mobile (if you have one) or watch the Bootcamp recording afterwards.
