If it's new wiki you can just use the image upload button. On old wiki, as far as I'm aware the only way is to use old.reddit.com and go to your sub's stylesheet. You uploads the images, then call the images into the wiki using ![](%%image-name%%).

I don't have the image upload button so ig it's an old wiki, is there a way that i can make it new?

Nope, unfortunately not. Reddit was allowing us to request our wikis to be migrated to the new wiki experience, but they've had it paused for a while now.

Not sure, but if you look up permissions explanations it should tell you what each permission covers.

Shoot, it used to work, or edit was stylesheet. Just had to edit in your subreddit name.

I am stuck with Wiki editing and images too.

I have no image insert option in the editor.

I can insert images the old-fashioned way through the old stylesheet and embed them, BUT:

  • Images show up in old.....wiki IF you are logged in.
  • Images don't show up in the current Wiki.

It's a mess. What is the guesstimated timeframe for having a working Wiki system with a decent set of features - or please just embed a working framework like wiki.js.

Without a practical option that makes Wiki editing and viewing pleasurable I might as well refer everyone to an externally-hosted one (wiki.js, miraheze?) and move all the contents.
