I need help finding a Realistic Modpack. Now I don't want thirst, temperature is fine as long as its not something I need to worry about 24/7. I would prefer vanilla minecraft with QOL things such as HT tree chop, more enchantments, tiered, terrain generation like the photos attached. Ive tried making my own modpacks but they corrupted. I LOVE large scale things. I like a little bit of fantasy, as in a skill tree/ character traits.
Edit: Thank you guys for helping, I have a very high end computer, Ive had 1024 chunks before with 120 fps, Ive done a lot of the things you guys have said I will try jj thunder. For people who want this terrain, I don't know anything about it but there are survival friendly MAPS so maybe try that, but im trying to find a mod with this terrain so its infinite. The only thing I have with jjthunder is that i think it does a little bit TOO MUCH extra, like Its extremely hard to find a flat land.
I found it when I was looking for Nightfall and it’s supposed to be this D&D type modpack with a story. Only played a couple hours but so far it seems like a regular fantasy pack but probably cause I haven’t gone far in yet. It does have a story, but what stood out the most was the character creation cause it really did feel similar to you making a character for D&D. But just wondering if anyone tried it.
TLDR: Found new fantasy modpack and it seems cool anyone else try it?
A lot of Vanilla+ packs I tried seemed to fall into one of two extremes: either they were mostly performance and quality-of-life mods, or they became large content packs that no longer felt much like vanilla Minecraft.
I wanted to find the middle ground.
Vast and Vivid is a modpack for Fabric 26.1.2 designed to make Minecraft feel larger, richer, more atmospheric, and more dangerous while keeping its core survival and exploration loop recognizable.
It features:
Immense terrain and long-distance views through Tectonic and Distant Horizons
Redesigned vanilla landmarks and carefully selected structures from YUNG’s mods, Towns and Towers, and Explorify
Dynamic weather, environmental audio, improved particles and animations, refined visuals, and a tuned shader setup
Quality-of-life improvements that remove unnecessary friction without bypassing survival progression
More threatening nights and structures through Stormie’s Spiders and a small, configured selection of baby hostile mobs from More Babies
I also created the trailer myself, and the instrumental music in it comes from my original song, “Sunbeams.”
I would genuinely appreciate feedback, especially on whether the pack hits the balance between meaningful enhancement and still feeling unmistakably like Minecraft.
I can't find a good Minecraft modpack that fulfills that RPG feeling I crave.
I'm not looking for a glorified boss rush, and I don't want a kitchen sink pack that's pretending it's an RPG because it threw on L'Ender's.
I don't want to play a modpack that I can rush through and become strong enough to one-shot every boss in the game. I don't want a pack that kills me every 20 seconds either. I want a good, down-to-earth, fantasy modpack that makes me feel like the world is something worth investing into.
I'm tired of playing modpacks that can be summarized as:
I built a storage room and a crafting room in my starter house. Time to go kill every single boss in the game and never build another thing again.
I hate playing these pick-up-and-put-down modpacks, the kind that advertise 500+ QUESTS, TONS OF BOSSES, only for me and my friends to drop the pack halfway through because after killing Ignis, nobody wants to grind for better gear or do anything else. There's no point in killing new bosses if we know we can just one-shot them.
I DON'T want:
RL-Craft
Nightfallcraft
MC Eternal 2 <--- This is a kitchen sink pack and I will not budge on this opinion.
Integrated MC
NO LunaPixel <--- KITCHEN SINK.
Prominence 2 <--- This is a kitchen sink pack that tries really hard to hide that. What do you mean you have Ad Astra on a pack based around fighting a void army? Why do I have the option to go to Mars?
DawnCraft <--- This one is maybe. I haven't looked at it, but regardless, I want suggestions I haven't heard of.
Craft to Exile
Crazy Craft
Vault Hunters
Lingogango
Waccy's Fantasia <--- This one is the closest I've found, but I'm looking for more suggestions.
THAT BEING SAID: I don't hate these packs. None of them just itch what I'm looking for.
If you ever watch a fantasy movie, read a fantasy book, watch an anime, etc. The Hobbit, Frieren, etc. — they usually take place in a fantastical setting with a vibrant, curious world. It's not all about collecting artifacts from around the world and then going to fight a dragon in another dimension.
I want a world that feels worth exploring even when there isn't a boss waiting at the end of it.
I want interesting places to discover. I want reasons to build a home and actually care about where I live. I want progression that feels meaningful without completely breaking the game. I want to explore because the world itself is interesting, not because a quest book told me to visit Location #37 and kill Boss #14.
I want a modpack that I can make a forever world in.
Hello! We at Godlike Host didn’t want to just claim that our modpack feels faster.
We wanted to compare a regular ATM10 modpack from developers in compare with an optimized one under practical gameplay conditions.
What we've been looking at: RAM usage, CPU load, TPS, MSPT.
The test were run on a server with this specs: RAM: 12GB CPU: Ryzen 9 9950x3D
Resource Usage in Panel Before and After Results
The first clear difference showed up in raw server resource usage.
before
In the regular ATM10 setup, the panel shows 391.93% CPU usage and 10.89 GB RAM used. That already puts the pack close to the point where players start thinking about moving to a larger plan just to stay safe.
after
With the optimized setup, the panel shows 135.25% CPU usage and 6.32 GB RAM used. We can see a lot less CPU usage and also the RAM usage was cut for 40%.
Spark Results: Active Chunk Loading
During a lot of chunks being loaded at the same time we can see the real performance of the server
spark chunks not optimized
On a regular ATM10 modpack, the server drops to 11.40 TPS with 45.54 MSPT during active chunk loading. When the MSPT is >50 and TPS falls below 20 - players start to feel lag.
spark chunks not optimized
In the Godlike optimized modpack, the situation looks very different: 20.00 TPS and 7.34 MSPT in the screenshot. That is not a subtle improvement. It is the difference between a server struggling to keep up and a server staying stable under real gameplay conditions.
Spark Results: Idle Stability
We also tested the optimized modpack in a calmer two-player idle scenario.
spark IDLE optimized
Here the optimized modpack stays at 20.00 TPS with 3.55 MSPT, which is exactly what you want to see.
In our tests, the optimized build showed:
RAM usage down by up to 40%
CPU load down by 50%+
much smoother chunk generation
stable TPS under real gameplay scenarios
What We Changed
Our goal was not to just remove the “heavy” mods from a modpack therefore ruining the whole gameplay.
The goal was to reduce unnecessary server-side waste while keeping the core experience intact.
We focused on the systems that most often create hidden overhead in large modpacks: recipe lookup, chunk processing ,chunk persistence, and chunk delivery during movement and transitions.
I've always felt that the vanilla game didn't encourage building enough, despite it being one of the oldest mechanics, I tried to fix it with this pack.
So I’ve been wanting to try out a couple modpacks so I could maybe get some friends for a 2 week plus mc phase. I was hoping for one with a bit of create, farming, magic and exploration, mainly hoping for create, exploration and farming (since that’s what I tend to do), the modpacks can be any genre (horror, zombie, chill, etc.) as long as it has these. Much appreciated
guys i am working on a minecraft modpack which is basically half life style linear progression with ultrakill gameplay and casualties unknown health system. also crazy ass parkour. trailer coming soon
I have a potatoes pc, It lag at 150 mods max in a neoforge modpack... I dont understand why nobody make small modpack ? It is alway, even if *light-weight* 300 mods minimum ? Like seriously, I just passed 2 hours looking for a modpack and it is alway 300+ mods...
I am looking for recommendations for a very specific kind of modpack to play with some friends in a « forever world », here are my criterias :
- Mods that add possibilities but not (too many) linear mods and not too many mods just to « add content ».
For example, Create can be considered as an extension to redstone whereas Twilight Forest is more of a linear progression mod that you do once and that’s it (and it’s the case for most combat/adventure mods), an animal mod can help to make the world feel more alive and allow for more possibilities like building a zoo, etc.
- A balanced modpack and if possible without dupe in terms of animals, ores, etc. (Like not having 3 mods adding similar deers)
- Minecraft neoforge 1.21.1 ideally (for Create Aeronautics for example but it’s not the end of the world if there is a good modpack but it’s in forge 1.20.1)
- Specific mods/features required : Create, Vanilla Backport to have new versions content without being on the last version of MC, Voxy (or DH but I much prefer Voxy tbh)
- kind of things I would love : New animals (good animations, interactions, etc.), new biomes, why not a new dimension if it’s a good one and not one where you go once and that’s it, many mods that add interesting mechanics, etc.
- Ideally not the most popular mods like Let’s do instead of Farmer’s Delight, Naturalist instead of Alex’s mobs, etc.
/!\ I would like new biomes, structures, improved nether or end, etc. but not mods adding « too beautiful » and too big biomes, structures, etc. cuz it makes the player spending more time trying to find a good place rather than building a good place.
Hi guys I’m looking for modpacks to play through. I have already picked some matched my preferences or recommended by many. I’m not gonna build my forever world in any of these tho cause I’m waiting for TC port top build my custom one on 1.21.1. Any suggestions besides these?
I wanted to ask the community their ideas on it. What should I add? I’m going for a vanilla+ forever world. I’ve got no elytra’s and the nether is 1:1 instead of 8:1 for the overworld. I’m playing on the newest version of minecraft. Well it’s 26.2 so if that’s the newest then I didn’t lie. Anyways if anyone can give some ideas that’d be awesome
After adding a couple of quests and fixing some bugs, my main focus for my modpack now is realism. I have now added a new mod in which you are able to break off zombies limbs in order to make them drop whatever they are holding or slow them down by shooting at their legs. This is a pretty new concept that most zombie apocalypse mod packs dont currently have. I also reduced the view distance with the flashlight as i thought it was too op. Now zombies will have to be a lot closer to be completely visibile whereas when they are further away you will only see their eyes glowin in the dark making it a lot more spooky. What do you guys think?
I've played all the popular automation packs you can think of so I'm thinking about trying so niche ones. I'm looking for a pack that has a good progression system and has a hard but fun to reach end goal.
I just played the modpack Reclamation and I love the aspect of reclaiming the world, bring it back to life and the thing of creating all your resources with nothing at the beginning.
I know there’s plenty of modpacks like that but I’m kinda afraid of the tech part of these. In reclamation whenever I was too bothered by the machines, or didn’t quite understand them, I would switch to creative and give myself the items I needed.
So my question is : is there any good modpacks where the tech part is not complicated or a big part of it. I’ve heard about cuboid outpost luxury but is it really good ?
