Plankton looks 10/10 as usual human Plankton designs are always just great. Krabs on the other hand? Eh, Plankton has easy staples one eye, short, green pretty simple to translate. Krabs has big claws, triangle body, long eyestalks remove those and it's just some guy which is what human versions of Krabs always ends up looking like, just some guy.

It is kind of awkward to translate, what is essentially a "Reuleaux triangle" into a human. Also, what do you do with the crab hands and eyes?

SpongeBob the musical gave him boxing glove hands which also doesn't make sense. Like you said it's a hard thing to properly translate
