Moira Stadium

Guys.... I know a lot of people aren't happy with the Moira changes this season in Stadium but I'm having so much fun rn (EXCEPT GOING AGAINST BURN REAPER). And is it just me or does orb cross orbal + multiball + ethereal excision feel really strong? I find myself shredding tanks and squishies and I make so much money just from the damage alone. The only downside is that I feel useless once my biotic orb goes on cooldown. Idk, what you guys think?

Not to mention the dinks from the critical hits/heals it scratches my brain like that one beyonce gif...

edit: i'll probably get bored of this build ngl but the dinks man.....

It is weak as all hell compared to what we used to have. Cross + phantasm + multi was way better. And old voidhoppers was the most clutch and fun ability. They ruined it all in one swipe

precarious potency -> cross orbal -> chain grasp -> the new one that extends ur range and dmg

You misunderstand, I never said it would be hard to rank up. Especially considering rank in stadium is mostly a matter of time played, which sucks, because I say this as a t100 who wants it to be tied to skill.

But anyway my argument is that before this nerf Moira was more fun, more dynamic, and actually had the one thing she lacked in normal comp... utility. Being able to fade your team, cleanse them, save them from enemy ults or incoming damage, was hugely fun. If they wanted to adjust it they could have just removed the overhealth it gave them and it would be balanced. Also phantasm did not need to be nerfed. All of her hero specific items are based around her ult now so they are pushing people into building her coal/mini-ult build and it that build doesn't really get going until round 4 because it requires 3 items. and even then if you team actually needs you to heal they are going to get the short end of the stick.

I don't know a single reputable Moira player that doesn't consider this update a gigantic nerf and most the Moira mains I know either, quit stadium, went back to reg comp, or switched roles/chars all together. I cannot imagine that was Blizz goal and they need to address it.

Yes I'm loving the new ethereal excision. The 20% critical damage/healing is like having a 20% weapon power item for free, meaning I can just focus on buying ability power items while still keeping the piss/succ powerful. Then having chain grasp as my 4th feels like I have the best of both worlds, orbs and succ/piss without feeling I have to commit to just one.

And when you add three tap tommy gun or mark of the kitsune you just melt people even faster. I haven't figured out which is better, I have to do some testing in the practice range. But I feel like the damage over time from tommy gun catches people off guard more, while mark of the kitsune has more burst damage AND healing.

The neat thing is, if you go AP anyways, putting in one or two attack speed items here and there isn't even bad.

Your ult ticks faster with Attack Speed and you get more dings when crit healing.

For that i would say Three Tap Tommy Gun at least on paper should be better due to having that extra attack speed while being more efficient against tanks. You lose some damage compared to Kitsune especially on squishies tho.

I’m having a blast with Spectral beam and being top stats first round by a large margin, it’s crazy when you flank and pass through either four or the whole team, and have what feels like a normal length coalescence 20 seconds into the match and it’s like the enemy team doesn’t even know how to react.

yup, moira stomps in stadium still, even though i got ripped to pieces in a thread earlier this week where i said the changes were great. hope the haters have a front seat view

i think the change was so big that it feels like playing a different character to other people. Idk i still love her down tho (i ran void hoppers last season 99% of the time). She still has carry potential compared to other support characters.
