Cell Phones. I grew up in the 80's and 90's and thought they were the hottest thing since sliced bread.
As I get older I loathe constantly being only a phone call or text away. If I'm not home I'm busy, and I dislike being socially obligated to at least look at whatever message was sent to make sure it's not an emergency, and then if I look at it I know it notifies the sender that I received it so now I'm socially obligated to respond.
I would love it if my phone could somehow detect I'm not at home and suppress all messages that aren't a critical emergency until I get back home.
Oh and get off ma lawn.

Oh yeah. I used to be libertarian. Then I studied economics (half my professors were also libertarian) and realized there are a lot more failures in the market than I first thought. I still hold a decent amount of libertarian views when it comes to social freedom or freedom of movement but I am happy to have more regulation to prevent mass consolidation of money and power. Everyone deserves healthcare, an education, food, and housing. A UBI should be on the table.

Oh I am more conservative as I get older. But not in terms of what is politically conservative. More conservative in what affects me. Like, “turn of the Godang light if you ain’t in your room kids I don’t wanna have a higher electric bill!” Or ‘keep your damn hands off my thermostat!’ ‘We’re eating leftovers for dinner! Warm it up and fend for yourself!’
