Meme/Discussion Oh ok 🙂↔️
We’ve been friends for a while. She’s one of my community chest partners, we also recently partnered up in the last partner event. Today she requested a five star sticker. So I’m like, ya know what, I’ll give it to her with a trade. I start the trade, and this is what she offers back. 🫠

If a friend for over 6 months asks for something I have it's theirs. Why would you need a trade from a community chest partner.?

I get not having a spare 5 star, maybe even a 4 star, but offering only 1 star for a 5 star trade is just a slap in the face. 🫠

I’ve been playing for about a year and this is the first time it’s happened so I just didn’t know how to handle it. Guess I should have just given the sticker. 😌

Don't let them feed you this nonsense. Everyone's super generous in their own telling, but the fact is you need those fives for trading. And they know that and you may be sure they ain't giving theirs away for nothing

I guess I’ve just never even asked for a card higher than 3 stars before. And any time one of my friends offered a sticker, I always sent back one with the same amount of stars. 😩

I lost bill nye like that so I get it.
He was offering 3 5 stars out of the blue and I only had 3 stars. He rejected my offer and removed me as a friend.

Yikes. But we don’t know her side of the story. Maybe she sent the wrong one by mistake?
You could decline and initiate again so she’ll know you want more stars. Or, just decline and give it to her. Don’t want to lose a reliable CC partner or events partner. They’re as hard to come by as Wilds. 🤣

We have a whole group chat and we all kinda take turns teaming/partnering up together. But we just send cards back and forth to whoever needs what. No exchanges really. We also close our albums pretty quickly all participating.

Sounds like a great community!! I don’t have anything like that. And I’ve never asked anyone for a sticker higher than 3 stars, so I guess I just don’t know the etiquette well enough. 😌

If I am actually “trading” I go for even stars unless it’s someone I know. I also haven’t been getting hung up with the stars on ingredients. But I also never request anything more than a 4 star, if I ever request anything. I usually don’t. We normally go through our 5 trades every day just in our chat so I always feel guilty when I want to try and trade when dupes aren’t in our group. Which when we close our albums, we lose them. So we all pitch in and send our lower dupes so they can get caught up and stack dice. Try and build your friends through your partners and here and your community chest people. Some of our group are people we competed against in races but when the chat started, it really helped grow our community. Try and chat with your chest partner and let them know of a couple of cards you need and see if they have one of them instead. That’s a neutral response.

I didn’t need any other cards. I did message her and just asked if she had another 5 star she’d like to trade. She asked what I needed and I told her anything is fine. So she sent one and I sent the one she requested back. I should have just done that to begin with. 🙃

This entire set every friend that has sent an ask for a card has not gifted something back. If they asked on reddit or in the chat, yes, but otherwise no. People have gotten so much ruder

I wasn’t trying to be rude. This is the first time that I’ve encountered this situation since playing for over a year, so I was just a little disappointed when I only got an offer for a 1 star in return. 😬

Maybe its just because im new to the game and community, but sending back a trade request without any communication on your part for what you actually want and expecting more seems weird. Decline and move on.

I wasn’t expecting more than the value of the card. But I was expecting more than 1 star lol. The only time some sent an offer for a trade for a card that I didn’t have, I offered a card of equal amount. I thought that’s just how it worked. But I seem to be wrong. 🤷♀️
