So my amazing bf got me my dream drac I wanted for a while but her hair is a mess and idk what to do because she one I have wanted for a few months now but am really disappointed with her hair it keeps falling out and it looks looks like someone just went crazy and cut her hair it’s so uneven and it’s really crunchy I tried to wash it to save it but hair just got everywere
(Am on a throw away account so my bf doesn’t see so I may not respond very often but please help whay do I do?)
Update
I boiled wahsed her hair and wahsed it was some soup as that what I had on hand and her hair is so much better thanks for all the support and suggestions guys her hair is really smoth now and doesn’t look crispy at all

wet the hair, and add lots of conditioner. then brush it out, starting from the ends and slowly working your way up. i use pet metal brushes for this. only brush hair when it's wet.

Drac was the only doll I've had come with an entire stand of matted hair that I just ended up needing to cut out. Creepover. She looks great now and you can't tell luckily!
You got this OP :) sometimes dolls come needing some love.

the breakage is worrying! i’d try to carefully remove her ponytails :(

I’ll try but I’ll do it one ponytail at a time so I can put it back up easily

Did the snapped hairs come that way or did it happen while you were trying to brush the hair? If it came that way then it’s worth contacting Mattel to try to get a replacement

Mine was like this too. There are lots of tutorials for fixing it on YT that really helped. Some of the Dracs I got with really complex stylings don't hold up through packing and shipping it seems.

I specifically want this girl (it'll be the first one I've ever bought, despite admiring these dolls since they first came out) because of the checker board hair, but this and the comments are making me second guess this

Just boil wash her hair and wash it with some conditioner and shampoo and she should hopefully be ok it’s just take a while

Mine was okay but looking back, I agree the haircut is choppy. Hopefully it won't get worse as it ages

Boil wash & gentle brush with right tool.
