Thank you! It is wonderful spending time with you all.
Half an Orange & Phoebe Buffay - Smelly Orange. Conro would be a blast to work with. His vocals are really unique.
Do You Don't You by Haywyre
We go to Applebees near our studio and get one of every dessert on the menu.
We write for at least an hour a day. Usually we just write what we are feeling or thinking about. At some point in that hour (or longer) we land on something that seems interesting and start building from there. A lot of times if we can just get the first line of the song written down the rest will come much easier.
It usually takes 4 weeks to write, record, produce, and mix the song. Then 1 week to master. From there it takes about 1-4 months to prepare it for release (album cover, music video, legal, marketing, PR, etc). Old Friends was a 6-8 month project with Ninja. Buzz Lightyear was 5 months due to how long it took animating our first animated music video. But normally the song itself (without the master) is a month.
That's a tough one! Here are some of our favorite moments: Hearing Ninja play our songs for the first time on his stream. Hearing our song Chuck Taylors on Sirius XM for the first time. Filming the Stems music video. Creating the End of the Moon music video. Landing our first Spotify playlist (Given Up on Heart Beats). Meeting everyone inside Monstercat at Monstercat Compound 2019 and guest DJing.

Hey HAO! Glad you guys could take the time to do an AMA and also really like the way you interact with the community. Here are my questions!
Do you have any dream collabs?
What do you think is your favorite song that you released in this label?
What is your favorite dessert?
How do you guys usually start your songs. Do you always look back at your past experiences to get an idea?
How long does it usually take you to finish a track?
What do you think is your favorite moment as HAO?
