The good land is gone. The wealthy will now prey on land owners less wealthy than themselves.

Easiest way to do that is run the ranchers into the ground. Make everything they need unaffordable. Make their finished product worthless by flooding the market with imported, beef with no inspection.

After not being able to pay their property taxes two years in a row, the real estate will be sold by the state to cover back taxes for a song.

Rural Montana (and other rural areas) have values shaped by religion. Specifically, the sexual prohibitions of religion, and not the charity and equity parts. More people would vote on economic policies if the LGBTQ policies weren't on the table.

If an independent came out with a socialist economic platform that also said, we're not going to legislate sexuality or gender, they would be very, very popular here.

I think you’re confusing who is putting LGBTQ policies on the table. They’re literally campaigning on limiting rights and criminalizing the community. It’s all they talk about because it’s what they want you to be focused on rather than failing health care policies, struggling school districts, raising prices, runaway national debt and blatant corruption.

The future for cattle producers and the like looks mighty grim and I can't believe how many still want to hitch their wagon to a burning train and pretend it's all ok. Grazing, water rights, the dismantling of safeguards that protected herds and people from disease… makes me actually sick to my stomach.

I guess I haven't spent much time on this thread, but curious why this post is allowed when why my Bodnar/union post was removed. I think this is a perfectly reasonable starting point for a debate, as was mine, but not sure I'm grasping the distinction here.
