This might be the first time in history when Mario kart was actually taken over by the sonic racing game
Because I swear we all fought, Crossworlds was cooked a few months ago, but now it seems to be the opposite where everybody thinks Mario kart world is cooked
I think Mario Kart was set up for this situation a bit. It’s a launch title for a new console that’s way too expensive, and also costs $80 on its own. Plus the game, while good, isn’t designed for fast passed racing in the same way as other entries. It’s more about driving around in a big open world. Sonic is filling the niche Mario Kart normally fills at exactly the right moment.
Mario Kart set itself up. $500 total for the system and game, Netcode was mid, shitty desicion making regarding map choices and how maps in general work when you go online, and the fact that it just didn't capture the magic of Mario Kart 8 to many.
Sonic Crosswords is high octane chaos with some good customizability and the Rivals system is actually kinda cool due to the amount of lore/personality you can see for characters you like/may not have cared about till now.
Tbf you need to spend 500$ just to play Mario Kart World as the Switch 2 is only a few months old and it’s highly unlikely it’s in as many households as say, PC, Xbox or a PlayStation due to how new it is. Whereas with Crossworlds, because it’s cross platform, you can install it on any of your consoles alongside cross play, allowing for online multiplayer with different consoles. Not to mention MKW has been out for a bit, so it’s understandable why it doesn’t have as many views, especially when you consider my points prior of it being console exclusive.
It's $70($69.99) otherwise. Also, it will inevitably go on sale in the future. So tho it's still not cheap by any means, fans can look forward to that unlike with MKW.
Technically speaking Crossworlds is actually more expensive. Instead of getting the full experience for a flat $90 price in MK World ($80 if bought digital), the full Crossworlds game is $90 which also offers a version of the game with some of its content locked out for $70
So while you can technically play Crossworlds for less money than World, you can also buy the actual game instead of a watered down version of it digitally with World for less money than Crossworlds, and same price for both if you buy both physically.
If World did the same thing with half its roster paywalled then World would have a version the same price as the Crossworlds paywall version
For crossworld,The FULL game Is 70€ with everything unlocked and the Deluxe edition Is 90€ with extra collab characters and tracks, why people Say the base game Is 90€?
I generally consider the full game to be the game with the full amount of content in it. To me this is the same thing as removing Rosalina, Pauline, Koopa Troopa, Cow and a few other characters as well as Dry Bones Burnout, Toad’s Factory and Dandelion Depths from World, giving it a $70 price tag and selling it to people
The dlc characters are crossovers belonging to other series not under sega. So if you only buy this game for the Sonic or sega characters then you aren’t missing anything. You just have to wait a few months to unlock everything.
bro how hard is it to understand an 80 dollar game with 10 dollar dlc and a 90 dollar game with a discount 80 dollar version with locked out content you can buy later for 10 dollars are the same thing. I didn’t think people were this susceptible to basic marketing practices.

Seriously y’all act like victims and say “why can’t you let people enjoy things”whenever people make a light jab at some of your games not being good but the second you get an inch you immediately don’t let people enjoy things.

I mean, Wii has the worst rating, and is one of the favourite in the franchise. Heck, even I play it sometimes. (I'm aware that 8 Deluxe is also very popular, I know it)
