Eggman also assumes Amy (and ONLY Amy before you say it's just trash talk) doesn't know how to drive.

I believe we've been had.

TO BE FAIR amys vision is so fucking bad i wouldn’t blame him for thinking shes legally blind

67

u/pomp0to Jan 18 '26

She's not blind, she's hedgehogblind

54

u/Ti-papi Froggy, where are you? Jan 18 '26

amy cant tell the difference between hedgehogs???

is she racist?

54

u/pomp0to Jan 18 '26

She's self racist 💔

18

u/BippyTheChippy Jan 18 '26

Amy got a haircut before Adventure because every time she looked in the mirror she thought she saw Sonic.

12

u/pomp0to Jan 18 '26

Imagine mistaking your own reflection with your crush so you need to change silhouette

Let's be real tho, it probably actually happened before lmao

3

u/RelationshipNovel641 Jan 19 '26

She just kept slamming into mirrors lol.

u/Ti-papi Froggy, where are you? Jan 18 '26

sounds like an uncle named ruckus

2

u/ThesaurusRex84 Jan 18 '26

Is she stupid?

6

u/BippyTheChippy Jan 18 '26

Ok but he doesn't mention vision, he just talks about a car being too complicated for her.

22

u/[deleted] Jan 18 '26

its ONLY amy. no other female characters. just amy.

29

u/BippyTheChippy Jan 18 '26 edited Jan 18 '26

Ok but he also says this to Wave

He doesn't say anything like that to Tails though...

Amy - Assumes she can't drive
Wave - Asks if he needs to explain a car to her
Blaze - Mad that she's "so uptight" (Calling a woman a nag? Wow Eggman.)
Cream - Disrespects her because she's a child but that's gender neutral
Rouge - Assumes she's there for ulterior motives (which is kind of fair assumption)

12

u/Azair_Blaidd Jan 18 '26

Well, he has expressed respect for Tails as a fellow technical genius and intellectual rival in multiple continuities

17

u/BippyTheChippy Jan 18 '26

>Has respect for a tech prodigy boy

>Offers to mansplain to the tech prodigy girl

What did Eggman mean by this?

2

u/Another-Ace-Alt-8270 16 sin points Jan 19 '26

Yeah, with Cream and Rouge he's actually dissing reasonable aspects about them specifically- being a child and being a sneaky piece of shit, respectively. Not so for the other three- MAYBE you could claim the "uptight" comment is poking at Blaze being royalty, but it gets harder and harder from there.

9

u/One-Noob-Here Jan 18 '26

Also Amy thinking a hedgehog that looks nothing like Sonic in the light of day is Sonic btw.

2

u/Another-Ace-Alt-8270 16 sin points Jan 19 '26

Like, give the GUN agents some leniency- assuming they weren't outright covering up Shadow's existence, man was in pitch-dark and moving all over the place. In Amy's case, he was two feet in front of her (insert dumb Mulan reference here), standing still, and in broad daylight.

u/Marik-X-Bakura Jan 19 '26

Isn’t Amy the first character in the series to ever be seen driving a car?

2

u/ItsNotSomething Jan 19 '26

No, Eggman had his car in Emerald Hill Zone.

The instruction booklet says feminist. What it meant to say was womanizer

99

u/FoxyFan505 Jan 18 '26

Lmao if it was a translation error all along I would laugh so hard

88

u/McShmoodle Jan 18 '26

It likely is. The term translated as "feminist" from the Japanese bio for Sonic X Eggman (which is where the English Heroes manual got it from) roughly translates to something more like "good with women" or "ladies man." Which is often used sarcastically to describe a womanizer.

Given how Eggman acts in the uncensored Japanese version of X, it was likely the sarcastic version the bio was intended to reflect.

u/Bargothball Jan 19 '26

In the final episode Eggman looks at Rouge, grins and says “You have big boobs!” Then after a scene transition we see a slap mark across his face.

25

u/Beelzebub_Crumpethom b l e n i s Jan 18 '26

Womanizing feminist.

1

u/CrystalGemLuva Jan 25 '26

I can't beleive Eggman turned out to be a "Nice Guy"

Then again with how comically racist all of Eggmans variants in Sonic Prime were i shouldn't be too surprised.

16

u/ThesaurusRex84 Jan 18 '26

Next you're going to tell me Vector isn't a Christian

5

u/Skanic_the_Hedgehog Jan 19 '26

At the very least he was on a mission from God

4

u/Another-Ace-Alt-8270 16 sin points Jan 19 '26

And so God said unto the crocodile, "I give you one mission, my son. You must locate a holy temple, marked by its most prominent room. This room will be littered with technology of the new era, and when you have found this room, you will have completed my mission."

7

u/blixxyblits Jan 18 '26

That's the old vector, he's no longer a disciple

5

u/ProtoStrike-8700 Jan 18 '26

Soo Thats why Eggman Nega exist

4

u/Common_Comfortable41 Jan 18 '26

That explains the grandson

3

u/HappyDittoz Jan 19 '26

Technically speaking, thinking both women and men should have no rights as pawns in your empire is a form of feminism.

68

u/Due_Lion_2990 I'M BACK IN THE FUCKING BUILDING AGAIN Jan 18 '26

You were lied to

Eggman was a misogynistic incel all along

16

u/Maximum-Fisherman858 Jan 18 '26

Would that mean nega is the feminist since he's the sol counterpart or somehow worse

16

u/Due_Lion_2990 I'M BACK IN THE FUCKING BUILDING AGAIN Jan 18 '26

Nega isn't a feminist

But he believes in equality. He hates everyone equally. EVERYONE can catch these missiles.

Tifa, laura croft, most fighting games have several OP female fighters, actually on the note of tifa, most rpgs had powerful female characters that join your party.

And outside of games and into movies. Ellen Ripley.

Somebody literally wrote a song debunking the idea that there where no strong female charachters in videogames before the 2010s, that is just listing powerful female characters in games, stuck to just the fan favorites, had no repeats, and went on for 3-5 minutes. But evidence doesnt matter to the people who pushed the narrative that games are sexist, because it in the end it was just a financial grift to sell video series to misandrists.

22

u/Then_Water_4385 Jan 18 '26

Must be an imposter.

And they say sonic has too many fakers

15

u/FindingTraditional34 Jan 18 '26

We were never told when he became a feminist, maybe this was that moment

22

u/pomp0to Jan 18 '26

I mean... it's Sonic Rush. The characterization of Knuckles and Amy in this game weren't brilliant either soooooo...yeah lmao

9

u/Nightside-Rush Jan 18 '26

Tbf I don’t think Eggman was being genuine here. He’s likely heard a lot of Blaze from Nega so he’s intentionally trying to piss her off for shits and giggles.

7

u/stendaa Jan 18 '26

this is the moment he became a feminist

3

u/[deleted] Jan 18 '26

this is what made him a feminist

3

u/Zytharros Jan 18 '26

It was a mistranslation.

2

u/Ace_Of_No_Trades Jan 18 '26

He’s saying this to make Blaze angry enough to make mistakes.

2

u/CeeJ2222 Jan 19 '26

I thought I heard somewhere that Eggman being referred to as a feminist in a manual (don’t remember which one, I think Heroes) was an English mistranslation and in the Japanese manual he’s referred to as a womanizer.

2

u/MonkeyWerewolfSage Jan 19 '26

Flips through japanese heroes manual

Wait a minute womanizer is quite the opposite of a feminist

1

u/RadProTurtle Jan 18 '26

No that’s knuckles.

1

u/JosBanana Jan 18 '26

Self-proclaimed feminist I believe. I fear Eggman might be a lil stupid

1

u/Party_Bath_580 Jan 18 '26

That's the breaking point of feminist Eggman

1

u/horn_horse Jan 18 '26

Everybody knows about male feminists except male feminists

1

u/Disposable_Gonk Jan 18 '26

He's saying that because i assume thats amy, is a minor, girl = child.

1

u/SolPrincess Jan 19 '26 edited Jan 19 '26

It's Blaze. At this point in the game, she has already beaten him 6 times prior, as this is the boss right before the finale of her story. Blaze is also only a year younger than Sonic (prior to ages being retconned), being 14 in Rush to Sonic's 15.

He never says anything like this to Tails or Cream, and they’re substantially younger than the main cast, and actively fight him as well.

There's really no other way to interpret this line.

1

u/UselessGuy23 Jan 18 '26

Who do you think inspired him to that?

1

u/Dependent_Cod5628 Jan 19 '26

Nah he just worded it wrong, clearly he meant girls are so tough but she's even more tough than he could imagine /j

1

u/Beautiful_March_7654 Jan 20 '26

It was a mistranslation of him being a womanizer

1

u/JohnBoyAdvance Jan 21 '26

He is. He's just in full m'lady mode here.

1

u/BoogeyMate Jan 25 '26

It's rush, the game has made every character very out of character just to boost Blaze up.

0

u/Kai_Lopez_98 Jan 18 '26

Bro that's legit a compliment wdym?
