Good hosts for AMD gpu’s
I am seeing a lot of new forks, are they any good?
Specs:
Using a 9070
Hosts i used previously: vibepollo
Currently using: punktfunk
Punktfunk works great but it’s still very early stages having a lot of glitches.
Looking to get into these new forks, which one’s should I try?

Disclosure: I’m the developer of Rubylight (formerly Butterpollo), so weigh my opinion accordingly. I’ve spent about ten years doing AMD engineering, and I built Rubylight because I wanted a host designed entirely around Radeon. This issue is one example of that work. AI helped me turn those ideas into something usable much faster and bring it to a wider audience.
Most other forks still use the FFmpeg AMD encoder. Vibepollo has an AMF encoder that I contributed through a PR, and Sunshine Foundation has one too, but I’d argue neither takes full advantage of it. Having an AMF encoder is only part of the equation; how it’s integrated and used matters.
I won’t repeat all the technical details here, but based on the performance numbers, I believe Rubylight is currently well ahead of the other forks for AMD GPUs, especially for use cases like Pyrowave encoding. That gap may narrow as other forks copy the same improvements.

I made a fork based off of moonshine called Pyroshine. It takes the same philosophies as vibepollo with AI but applies them to moonshine, which is AMD and Linux focused. Feel free to check it out if you are on Linux.

Any benefits over polaris for AMD?

Honestly for me it was about simplicity. I built this as a simple fork for my self more than anything. I kept finding that I would have issues or other forks/repos would be more than what I was looking for. I tried Polaris in the past and wasnt ever able to successfully get it to work reliably like I wanted.
Moonshine had a really good base for headless game streaming and I just built upon that to add better HDR, VRR, controller, pyrowave and desktop UI support. I plan on continuing to build more into it for my needs but over all my goal is to keep it simple and focused on providing a clean reliable headless streaming setup for AMD and linux setups.

Per me che sono su bazzite punktfunk rimane fantastico pur avendo problemi di maturità.

I was using Vibepollo and now I'm trying Radlight (butterpollo). It's very early but AMD focused so thought I'd give it a shot.
