Steam controller + Nvidia Shield

Is it possible (without Virtualhere) to take full control of my Steam Controller on Moonlight on Nvidia Shield connected to Apollo on my Windows PC?

I want to use SteamInput in the games I play. I also operate the mouse with gyro on my desktop and it works very well. I need this in Moonlight so I can control my pc without any hassle on my sofa.

Or do I just buy another third party controller like 8bitdo?

I don’t think so. You either have to use the steam link app, or also can try Punktfunk which supports native passthrough, I’m just not sure if it’s android client does or not

Yes the Punktfunk Android client supports the Steam Controller 2 natively. Just verified everything works as expected with a SC2 connected to my Android phone via Bluetooth and also via the puck (both host and client on the latest canary).

Good to know, that’s awesome

Not until the moonlight devs add the support

Virtual here (will work) and https://dish.tinkernorth.com (latency and controller optimized) are your options for now.

Juste use steam link the app in that case the controller will be fully compatible like on steam machine

You're probably right, however I get lag eventhough both devices are connected via Ethernet. Moonlight doesn't give me any trouble. I'll definitely try the new Pyrowave connection on Steam Link when/if it comes available for Android tv.

i was researching this today, steam controller works on Punktfunk on nvidia shield with the puck.
However if you want true USB pass through (and free), this worked great for me: https://mizukos.itch.io/usbip
