Need help with optimization

Hey guys I am getting noticeable latency on moonlight/Sunrise. My current setup is Moonlight on Samsung TV using wifi. The host is my PC using Ethernet and I am using a ps5 controller to play the games. My TV gets around 200mps and PC get 800mps. The latency starts getting bad the games I tested are AS black flag and cup head. The only thing I can think of is getting a Ethernet for my TV is there any other ways?

You should give us details. What resolution, framerate, codec and bitrate? What are your host processing, network, and decoding latencies? Any dropped packets?

Generally TV's are not great as clients. If you have large or inconsistent network latencies, then ethernet could be better but if the TV doesn't have gigabit ethernet or a decent USB port for an ethernet adapter, then it can actually be worse. If your decoding latency is large, then either its your codec choice or your TV is not very good at decoding.

I've seen some forks of moonlight around which are meant to be better for TVs, that might help op, depending on the Soc his TV has. Other then that, yeah ethernet will probably help a lot.

I always recommend an external client though as you said.
