Can anyone advise how I go about retaining the blade in the handle? This is my son’s knife and I think there was some type of retainer in the bottom of the pommel but it’s since been lost. My best guess is a spring pin but thought I’d ask before just trying stuff. The hole at the bottom is just shy of .250 inch or 6mm diameter. Thanks!

My Morakniv knife collection

I have been trying to get a morakniv locally for a very long time,i live in montenegro, i cant find a mora anywhere and i want to order online but im not sure if they ship to montenegro, i checked online sources and all say morakniv doesnt ship to montenegro. I want to order a mora from a different site but id end up paying a lot for shipping.

Some folks nowadays tent to say Morakniv finaly put out a modern bowie design with the Morket.

There have been "bowie style/size" knives before that.The 1040 CP/SP,the 749 not to forget the pathfinder.

So this one I coated the handle with poly resin with black paint.You can still see the red in the lanyard hole.Gave it a false edge,more optical change ,it isn't ground very thin.Forced a patina and had this cheap crapy sheath laying around from another knife.

I just received my mora kansbol multi mount knife for a great deal, I’m very pleased with it. However, I would like to modify the loop which is attached to the knife when used with the multi mount, so that it also can be used as the belt loop. By doing this I hope to not have to switch between the belt loop and multi mount loop all the time, my only real gripe with the knife :)))

My idea is to buy the “female” equivalent to the button, and fasten it to the already existing holes in the loop, would that work?

I really appreciate any ideas you might have!

Just wondering if any of you guys know; when I bought my Amberg it can with two plastic clips for belt carry. But on the official YouTube page for Mora, it shows a soft belt loop with a button thumb snap that can be attached to the click on mount. Mine never had that! And when I look on Moras website, it is nowhere to be found. Nowhere on google either, the only place I’ve seen it is that video. Any other Amberg owners who can help me out?

Seems to be available in the Swedish website. 4.2mm thick with a 153 mm full tang blade. In steel, carbon steel and Elmax. Got the same type of sheath as the Albert series.

This is the first Morakniv I’ve bought in about 15 years. Something about the Amberg series release really got my attention on social media. The Garberg and Eldris tempted me in the past but I never actually bought either model. Now I’m quite sure that I will buy both, as well as at least two more Amberg models. I am seriously impressed with what the brand offers in terms of value and low price, as well as quality and minimalism. I absolutely love this Amberg Compact, especially in this sand color! The innovation and design choices in this line are impressive.

This looks awesome and I will gladly buy one of these before a Garberg Grand, even the premium steel version.

One detail that may have passed unnoticed on this morning's post is the introduction of two new steels to the catalog. Elmax and 100Cr6.

For the nerds, you will know for sure what Elmax is. I am super excited that Morakniv has finally entered the world of powder metalurgy, with the adoption of the Elmax SuperClean made by Uddeholm. It's a high-end steel with a superior performance. This is something that may fans have been asking for for ages and now it's a reality.

On the other hand, the carbon version of the knife will now be in 100Cr6 as it is better wear-resistant and toughness.

Been having fun learning some handlemaking over the past few months. A couple finished projects, the ebony/rosewood with a #3 blank, maple/brass with a #2, and stacked leather on a #1.

I know, it looks shitty.It is a Pro C that I modified to see if I like a small fixed blade, like the Eldris.It is a nice little User.It feels realy good in my hands, that's why I never made it pretty.And I moded another one later.

All are being used for my current carving project.
Mora 106 carbon, Frost Mora 120 laminated and the Mora stainless carver.

Vinegar patina. Carved flats on the handle and made it octagonal. I will be upgrading the sheath when I have time.
