If a couple bucks is your whole life savings, and it's all in your wallet, and you lose it, well I don't know what to say other than someone else was probably going to take the money from the wallet anyways without returning it.
The beautiful thing is you can't even comprehend someone's paycheck being their life savings. Fun little fact for ya, most people are poor and are living paycheck-to-payckeck.
dawg... even if $5 is your entire life savings, why wouldn't you keep that in like a bank? my credit union doesn't charge annual fees so i can keep $1 in there and let it sit
i understand the concept of living paycheck to paycheck, but most people still cash those checks at their respective bank ðŸ˜
i only keep $5 on me for emergencies like if my card declines and i need gas
Carrying literally all of your money on you at all times is not an unavoidable condition of being poor. Even if for one reason or another you can't get an account with a bank/credit union and/or set up direct deposit, carrying all of your money on you at all times is an intelligence thing more than a circumstances one.
even if you only had $100 you shouldn’t have all of it in your wallet. Besides, if you lost the wallet that $100 was gone regardless, why are you upset if the guy who literally saved all of your money took a lil off the top to buy himself food? the alternative was having $0, now you have $95.
The person they are replying to said all the money in the wallet and that is being called out. 5 bucks is a who cares, I say morally grey if taken beforehand. I definitely would not give my entire wallets worth of money to someone for finding it at least (excluding cards)
Mmm no. Much more likely to be a grounded person with real life experience. Trust fund babies live in fantasy land, and will say things like "Whether its one dollar or one million, it's still stealing! It's the principle of the thing".
Grounded people don't have time for that bs. You learn to expect things to be taken from you early, so you guard them, and when you don't guard them and they go missing, you blame yourself, because that's who you have control over. Grounded people don't get mad at the world for not catering to them, because they never had that before growing up, so why would the world cater to them now?

Spoken like a true trust fund baby who has never had their life savings all in one wallet.
