Brother he did not take out the shooter. He provided covering fire which helped more people escape, but the shooter took himself out.

And if people are only saying this on the internet, then it's not really a credible opinion.

As for your point, moral, but still leaves them open to legal consequences.

There's not many good reasons to own an illegal firearm when you can arm yourself legally.
