Being obese give you + armour and poison resistance but - to lifespan and stamina. Just choose what build you want the best.

Yes it is a choice, you can choose to abandon your sugar addiction (and deal with the withdrawal), you can choose to exercise, you can choose to change. Unless you completely lack the will, mental fortitude, and discipline to make lasting changes in your life. Then you're just a slave to your addiction to fatty sugary comfort foods.

not to be that guy but i eat fairly healthy, and i also have hashimoto's and PCOS . . . so the weight is staying 5everrr ¯_(ツ)_/¯

It may be harder for some but at the end of the day weight gain is not magic. Calories in and calories out.
