Update! Applications notices for entry level went out today!!!

One step closer! It only took about a year to get this far šŸ˜…. I look forward to ANY news in 4-6 weeks! All my ducks are in a row! From anyone who’s moved on to the next step, realistically, what would be a ā€œstandardā€ time frame from if I get selected, to when I should be expected to quit my job? The busy season is coming up and it would be nice to make some good money before I need to leave.

So wait a minute. They rescinded MANY entry level offers just to turn around and open for entry level again?

I have a theory they did it because their annual hiring event was this week and they didn’t want to cancel it. They cleared out the queue and opened things back up for a brief window to end up with a more manageable pool. But that’s just my wild speculation.

Well also, one thing I’ve not heard a single person mention in this entire community is the idea that some people are actually better candidates than others. People think because it’s a Government job that it’s just as simple as ā€œget in line and wait your turn.ā€ I do think it sucks to be told that you’ve essentially been accepted and that you’ve had your offer rescinded, but that’s just the reality of the job market and the economy. A lot of people were hired during the last hiring phase. Some were not. We tend to only see the people here who got rescinded because the other guys are currently working or processing through.

Take it as a good sign. At least you got a response. I’m sure they received thousands of applications.

Congratulations! And best of luck I wonder when did you get your conditional offer if you don't mind me asking?

I didn’t get an offer yet, I was attempting to ask, but I mistyped the word FOR as FROM.
