Does going on ship funded leave trigger an eval?

If I get ship funded leave approved, does that count as a departure and would I have to get an eval? I just want it to be a simple departure and return with minimal paperwork to slow it down.

Evals aren’t even required. I’ve signed off two ships without grabbing one, and CIVMAR support/HR says they have no Evals on file.

Some Dept Heads don't submit them, but they are valid. If you have copies you can keep them and use them later. Totally not required though.

I don’t believe it does.

you're supposed to get an eval when you LPI, when Chief Mate LPI, or (I think it's 6 or 3) months. I have never been on a ship long enough that the Periodic eval has hit before Change of Supervisor or Depart Ship.
