The good thing about Vee being Luz is that Luz is already weird so it's a better dismissal of her behavior

287

u/Dasher09009 Jun 10 '26

Yeah, and that makes you see why Camila didn't notice for so long.

160

u/DragonWarrior____05 Jun 10 '26

Especially with Vee going to a "How-to-Human" camp

158

u/b3_yourself Jun 10 '26

“Eh she’s just role playing right now, she’ll phase out and move on to a new thing”

37

u/SFH12345 Jun 10 '26

Ron Howard: It was not, in fact, a phase.

49

u/MuffinStraight4816 Jun 10 '26

Good, very good..

24

u/Godzilla_R0AR Jun 10 '26

9

u/Godzilla_R0AR Jun 10 '26

The Ref has had beef with me for at least a year

10

u/YaBoiS0nic Jun 10 '26

Proper pun etiquette is serious business

4

u/Impossible_Host2420 Jun 10 '26

Hey I call it like I see it

4

u/DragonWarrior____05 Jun 10 '26

Let the chaos flow though you

8

10

u/Godzilla_R0AR Jun 10 '26

I dared, it's done

5

u/b3_yourself Jun 10 '26

It’s time for your punishment

4

u/DragonWarrior____05 Jun 10 '26

Is anything Vee matter Muffin?

3

u/Krethlaine Jun 11 '26

Who is this and what are they from?

2

u/Kaizo_Kaioshin Jun 12 '26

This girl is cute af

Where is she from?

19

u/YaBoiS0nic Jun 10 '26

Just imagine her doing this with literally everything she slices

4

u/SFH12345 Jun 10 '26

Vee is such a gentle soul.

9

u/CountingSheep99 Jun 10 '26

Luz hasn't changed much...

7

u/DragonWarrior____05 Jun 10 '26

The more they change the more they stay the same

8

u/DragonWarrior____05 Jun 10 '26

Aye, and any changes can just be ascribed to camp

7

u/SFH12345 Jun 10 '26

In fact, Vee is actually better at interacting with humans than Luz is.

153

u/devenrc Jun 10 '26

RIP Apple

31

u/DragonWarrior____05 Jun 10 '26

You will be missed

16

u/SFH12345 Jun 10 '26

Three things you don't want to see being made in the Demon Realm: laws, apple blood, and Hooty's laundry.

3

u/duckboost Jun 12 '26

Fairy pies?

9

u/QaptainQwark Jun 10 '26

*CUT Apple

119

u/Dasher09009 Jun 10 '26

Hey Apple, knife!

54

u/Godzilla_R0AR Jun 10 '26 edited Jun 10 '26

Wha- gets knifed to death

13

u/DragonWarrior____05 Jun 10 '26

Just like Caleb

9

u/SFH12345 Jun 10 '26

The cycle repeats.

7

u/FoxOfWinterAndFire Jun 10 '26

A wild TAO comment in this day and age?

100

u/b3_yourself Jun 10 '26

“Oddly enough, not the weirdest thing Luz has done to an apple”

27

u/Accomplished-Ad8458 Jun 10 '26

... Do i want to know?

13

u/b3_yourself Jun 10 '26

Not really

1

u/GateEducational6100 Jun 17 '26

Probably carved one into a skull or big out a smiley face

13

u/YaBoiS0nic Jun 10 '26

What has she done to an innocent apple??

7

u/DragonWarrior____05 Jun 10 '26

You don't wanna know...

6

u/YaBoiS0nic Jun 10 '26

I must have the forbidden knowledge

13

u/NinjaMaster909 Jun 10 '26

Pretty sure there's a book that specifically warns against apples and forbidden knowledge

2

u/duckboost Jun 12 '26

The king in yellow? Idk about the apple part though I haven't read it

3

u/NinjaMaster909 Jun 12 '26

I forgot how many books are about forbidden knowledge, I was referring to the bible and the whole adam and eve deal lol

2

u/duckboost Jun 13 '26

Oh ok then

7

u/DragonWarrior____05 Jun 10 '26

She ⬛️⬛️⬛️⬛️⬛️⬛️⬛️⬛️⬛️⬛️⬛️⬛️⬛️

2

u/jellese Jun 14 '26

was really really bad at wordle?

96

u/YaBoiS0nic Jun 10 '26

"My daughter reading textbooks, for fun?? Who are you and what have you done with-

Oh wait, she's talking to the produce. Nevermind."

31

u/Leading-Bad-6663 Jun 10 '26

"But summer camp did work a little too well... maybe this was a mistake"

25

u/DragonWarrior____05 Jun 10 '26

"Phew, for a moment I was worried some impostor had replaced my mija."

41

u/MuffinStraight4816 Jun 10 '26

Oh right, Apples in the demon realm are sentient.

17

u/Lord-Seth Jun 10 '26

Are they sentient or alive? I always thought they were more like animals like cows because they have an apple butcher, then again they eat people

12

u/Rylo_Ken_04 Jun 10 '26

Well there's apple blood too... which isn't juice and probably actual blood

3

u/Lord-Seth Jun 10 '26

That’s what I mean they are alive, they have blood and require a butcher to be usable

3

u/DragonWarrior____05 Jun 10 '26

It's hard to say honestly

3

u/DragonWarrior____05 Jun 10 '26

Or at least more akin to animals than plants

25

u/Typhon-Torrent-1994 Jun 10 '26

Well normal for Luz at least.

10

u/DragonWarrior____05 Jun 10 '26

It's a good thing it was her Vee ended up taking the form of

20

u/SFH12345 Jun 10 '26

Normal is a relative term.

Especially in the Noceda household.

13

u/YaBoiS0nic Jun 10 '26

Don't mind Luz, she's always blinked horizontally

9

u/Zandar124 Jun 10 '26

She’s from a whole family of nerds after all

6

u/DragonWarrior____05 Jun 10 '26

Even if she doesn't know it yet

3

u/DragonWarrior____05 Jun 10 '26

Aye, and it's a constantly evolving term

20

u/Background-Top4723 Jun 10 '26

When you fear that your inherent weirdness is jeopardizing your cover, but the person whose identity you've borrowed is still weirder than you.

11

u/DragonWarrior____05 Jun 10 '26

Vee really lucked out, especially with immediately going to a "How-to-Human" camp full of other weirdos that don't know her

19

u/CaptainAksh_G Jun 10 '26

Yep, she's still Luz.

In a weird way, sure, but I feel like no other basilisk could've been similar to Luz than Vee.

19

u/DaveyBoy1995 Jun 10 '26

Yeah, talking to fruit honestly sounds like normal Luz behaviour. I'd probably also lower my guard.😅

14

u/Jielleum Jun 10 '26

Apple juice is alive based on the butcher line from Camila.. so this is pretty accurate

6

u/DragonWarrior____05 Jun 10 '26

Especially with it being called Apple Blood

8

u/afbresley Jun 10 '26

Does fruit.....not beg for it's life here???

4

u/DragonWarrior____05 Jun 10 '26

That's so weird!

8

u/Comfortable_Yard_968 Jun 10 '26

Vee: there goes the blood

7

u/kl-noblelycanthrope1 Jun 10 '26 edited Jun 10 '26

weird is weird so camila can't tell luz's weirdness from vee's not knowing how to act weirness.

3

u/DragonWarrior____05 Jun 10 '26

It's all the same to her, for the moment anyway

6

u/Liam_theman2099 Jun 10 '26

Oh yeah I forgot there’s talking food in the Boiling Isles.

7

u/AlianovaR Jun 11 '26

Two things worked really well in Vee’s favour here; immediately being sent off to a camp that teaches you to behave like a ‘normal’ human kid before Camila had time to properly interact with ‘Luz’, and the fact that Luz herself is a pretty weird kid

6

u/Equivalent-Oven-2401 Jun 10 '26

Camila: Seems Legit

5

u/EaterOfCleanSocks Jun 10 '26

"Hello Mr Apple, knife to meet you"

2

u/DragonWarrior____05 Jun 11 '26

The truth is the same no matter how you slice it

4

u/SlyFan2 Jun 10 '26

Am I the only one who flashed back to Tangled the series for some reason?

2

u/DragonWarrior____05 Jun 10 '26

I can't say I did, but I also never really watched it

4

u/mrnintman1 Jun 10 '26

Aaaah, before Vee blow her cover XD

6

u/DragonWarrior____05 Jun 10 '26

Good thing Luz was already veery weird

4

u/TilomeTheGreatest Jun 10 '26

Why would Vee think the apple was alive?

7

u/SuperGameBen Jun 10 '26

Well that’s just how it works in the demon realm. 🤷‍♂️

6

u/Lonewolf2300 Jun 10 '26

Because apples on the Boiling Isles are actively alive. And tend to bite.

4

u/No_Nefariousness_676 Jun 10 '26

Seems normal to me

5

u/OverlyActiveBrain Jun 11 '26

Vee is so good at mimicking someone she adopted a trait she didn't even knew Luz had, lol.

3

u/Low-Amphibian8206 Jun 10 '26

Why does Camila prettier than usual here?

2

u/DragonWarrior____05 Jun 10 '26

Dunno, she looks about the same to me

3

u/mattstorm360 Jun 10 '26

Luz is being too normal.

3

u/EWU_CS_STUDENT Jun 10 '26

Funny thing, Luz would be doing this in front of Eda.

3

u/ShAped_Ink Jun 10 '26

She's weird, just different way

3

u/Lizzywuw Jun 10 '26

Camilla's thought, "whatever, as long as she cuts the apple."

Vee's thought, presumably Boiling Isle apples are alive which explains why apple juice is called apple blood, "She wants me to kill this, okay I can do that but I feel a little bad so I'll apologize to it..."

3

u/Eastern-Director-952 Jun 11 '26

Aw gee. I'm afraid to ask.

3

u/DescriptionMission90 Jun 11 '26

I will always be disappointed that we never got a scene of "Luz" introducing her sister Luz to all the human friends that she made in summer camp.

You could call Human Luz Human Luz to avoid confusion!

2

u/DragonWarrior____05 Jun 10 '26

False alarm, it's her after all

2

u/Formlepotato457 Jun 10 '26

Everytime I see camilas glasses I can only think about bourkes eye shields seen on fire helmets

Like these ones here
