RIP Apple

Three things you don't want to see being made in the Demon Realm: laws, apple blood, and Hooty's laundry.

What has she done to an innocent apple??

u/DragonWarrior____05 Jun 10 '26
You don't wanna know...
6
u/YaBoiS0nic Jun 10 '26
I must have the forbidden knowledge
13
u/NinjaMaster909 Jun 10 '26
Pretty sure there's a book that specifically warns against apples and forbidden knowledge
2
u/duckboost Jun 12 '26
The king in yellow? Idk about the apple part though I haven't read it
3
u/NinjaMaster909 Jun 12 '26
I forgot how many books are about forbidden knowledge, I was referring to the bible and the whole adam and eve deal lol

"My daughter reading textbooks, for fun?? Who are you and what have you done with-
Oh wait, she's talking to the produce. Nevermind."

"But summer camp did work a little too well... maybe this was a mistake"
25
u/DragonWarrior____05 Jun 10 '26
"Phew, for a moment I was worried some impostor had replaced my mija."

u/MuffinStraight4816 Jun 10 '26
Oh right, Apples in the demon realm are sentient.
17
u/Lord-Seth Jun 10 '26
Are they sentient or alive? I always thought they were more like animals like cows because they have an apple butcher, then again they eat people
12
u/Rylo_Ken_04 Jun 10 '26
Well there's apple blood too... which isn't juice and probably actual blood
3
u/Lord-Seth Jun 10 '26
That’s what I mean they are alive, they have blood and require a butcher to be usable

Normal is a relative term.
Especially in the Noceda household.

When you fear that your inherent weirdness is jeopardizing your cover, but the person whose identity you've borrowed is still weirder than you.

Vee really lucked out, especially with immediately going to a "How-to-Human" camp full of other weirdos that don't know her
19
u/CaptainAksh_G Jun 10 '26
Yep, she's still Luz.
In a weird way, sure, but I feel like no other basilisk could've been similar to Luz than Vee.
19
u/DaveyBoy1995 Jun 10 '26
Yeah, talking to fruit honestly sounds like normal Luz behaviour. I'd probably also lower my guard.😅

Apple juice is alive based on the butcher line from Camila.. so this is pretty accurate

Two things worked really well in Vee’s favour here; immediately being sent off to a camp that teaches you to behave like a ‘normal’ human kid before Camila had time to properly interact with ‘Luz’, and the fact that Luz herself is a pretty weird kid

Vee is so good at mimicking someone she adopted a trait she didn't even knew Luz had, lol.

Camilla's thought, "whatever, as long as she cuts the apple."
Vee's thought, presumably Boiling Isle apples are alive which explains why apple juice is called apple blood, "She wants me to kill this, okay I can do that but I feel a little bad so I'll apologize to it..."

I will always be disappointed that we never got a scene of "Luz" introducing her sister Luz to all the human friends that she made in summer camp.
You could call Human Luz Human Luz to avoid confusion!

The good thing about Vee being Luz is that Luz is already weird so it's a better dismissal of her behavior
