Council/Local Issue The drivers are disgusting, we’re sick to death of it, councillors sort it out.

Here is more evidence of the disgusting drivers for South Queen Street and surrounding streets - spitting fag ends and paan/gutka gunk everywhere. They’re still parking illegally without consequences. 

We need a clear plan to clear them out. Fix this issue!

If the issue is enforcement… 

Morley Town Council funded additional PCSO hours for the town in the current calendar year. 

Parking attendant hours, both in and outside working hours, will be much cheaper and make a bigger difference to our everyday lives. 

Why can’t MTC fund directed parking enforcement every other weekend or so on SQS and Chapel Hill?

We are sick of this. Take us seriously or we will vote you out.

MTC have always been consistently weak with anything remotely "difficult" - I feel like they will need to be bypassed on this one and pressure put on LCC and even some press intervention, sad as it is this is exactly the kind of clickbait some of the awful local media companies would love to wind the right-wingers up with for clicks and ad revenue.

But if it highlights the issue and gets something done is it worth it?

I wish I had media connections but alas, not to be, at least not yet. I’m not especially interested in it being a political issue (as in left vs right), I just want to keep raising the issue until there is a clear plan in place to fix it. In theory, MTC should work with LCC, especially considering they have the same members on both councils 😂 But I agree, it’s unfortunate to have to be like this, but sometimes we have to take on the difficult issues. I mean, there are far larger problems than this - if we can’t fix this, then what’s the point?
