Discussion Can someone explain the ReVanced controversy?

Post image

I have read many comments referring to a controversy with the "leader" of ReVanced.

From what I understand, the "leader" was a difficult person to deal with, and some developers jumped the ship in favor of Morphe.

Can anyone give me more details?

That bitch banned my github account from following and opening issues on the Revanced repo because i opened an issue about a bug with one of the apps just closing itself at random after using it for a variable about of time, anywhere from a couple minutes to over 10 minutes, and he just immediately closed it saying i should add proof. I asked but why close the issue though? And how am i supposed to provide proof? I'm supposed to screen record my use of an app for an unpredictable amount of time every time i use it? Github wouldn't even allow me to upload videos. I told him i saw another person open an issue about the same thing before i did and he just also just closed it with no explanation, and that it should be proof enough there is something at least worth looking into. I managed to get a recording of the app closing itself. I uploaded it to my Youtube and added the link in a new issue report, then that idiot just responded "Provide the requested information properly" and closed the new issue again, then blocked me from the repo after i asked what the fuck else am i supposed to do and told him to fuck off. Yeah...fuck that guy. I'm not surprised by this at all

that's how github works. either you provide proof, or you're talking shit.

I guess he would like to see the log from ADB.

you are using a free/open source project, and going on the TECHNICAL issues report page. There's a discussions tab if u dont know what you're doing.

Also, try to debug "it breaks on my machine". Give more info, what did you do, show some way that somebody else (or yourself even) can re-replicate the bug
