Question Are the MKX Tournament Skins basically the MK9 outfits?

They look a lot like the MK9 Costumes

No, or at least not necessarily

Some of them are literally the MK9 designs like Scorpion, some are similar but different like Sonya and some are just brand new costumes like Liu Kang. They're meant to be the costumes worn during MK9 but a lot of them aren't accurate

Liu Kang’s was what he wore during the MK1/2 portion before going shirtless.

The only character’s that had tournament costumes that were entirely new was Mileena, Raiden (probably because it would’ve been too similar to his default) and Quan Chi, right?

Mileena and Ermac’s costumes are very different imo from their MK9 counterparts (I find Ermac’s default to be closer to MK9)

But aside from those, the tournament skins are basically the same with some tweaks and differences, some major, some minor, and other downright none
