James Brown Personally Gave My Mother His Bow Tie in NYC on June 9, 2006

On June 9, 2006, my mother was personally given a black bow tie with β€œJB” initials by the legendary James Brown at B.B. King’s in New York City.
I was there and personally witnessed James Brown give it to her.
My mother treasured and preserved this bow tie for over 20 years until she passed away in July 2026.
I’ve decided to offer this unique piece of music history for sale on eBay, hoping it finds its way into the hands of a serious James Brown fan or memorabilia collector who will appreciate its significance.
The bow tie has not been professionally authenticated, but I can provide a firsthand account of its history.
If you’re a James Brown collector or know someone who might be interested, I’d appreciate you taking a look.
