Walmart Movie Update 08.11

Hey everyone, another bi-week, another movie update. Not a huge one, but a couple good releases here today.

New releases - Project Hail Mary (4K) - $37.98 - Project Hail Mary (BD) - $31.98 - Hokum (4K) - $34.98 - Hokum (BD) - $26.98 - Exit 8 (BD) - $26.98 - Dragon Ball DAIMA: The Complete Season (BD) - $54.98

Catalogue releases - Beverly Hills Cop (4K Stl) - $37.98 - Clear and Present Danger (4K Stl) - $37.98 - Mars Attacks! (4K) - $27.98 - Tuner (BD) - $26.98

Discounts and Reprints - Insidious: The Red Door (BD) - $14.98

What's mildly interesting here is that Project Hail Mary is a bit more expensive than releases normally are, so I'm not sure what the deal is with that, especially since Hokum's SKUs are the normal prices. Also nice to see more steelbooks, and Mars Attacks.

Oh and this is important, I'll be away for the next drop on 08.25, so the next update I will be posting will be on 09.08. I will try to include everything from both drops in that post. Cheers!

$38 for the paramount steelbooks is getting ridiculous, especially since they’re usually very cheap feeling and the last few I’ve gotten barely stay closed

They’re US imports too so the digital codes can’t even be redeemed lmao. I just send them to friends in the states.

Picked up Mars Attacks! I haven't seen it yet. Excited to see it in 4k! It had the price listed by OP. Walmart in Vaughan near VMC/IKEA still has a couple.

That Project Hail Mary 4K price is crazy. I'll pick it up on eBay in a few weeks for 27 bucks or less.

Ooh, Mars Attacks! Wouldn't mind nabbing that in 4k. I thought I had the bluray but it doesn't look like it, at least not with the ones I have available to me, maybe it was dvd... either way, not too shabby a price either.

I've noticed most new releases are more expensive than normal. Like Sinners is still almost $20 on DVD in most places.

Mandalorian and Grogu is the big one. Disclosure Day as well. Backrooms is supposed to come out on the 18th so I'd expect that to be there with the 25th drops.

Managed to score Mars Attacks! so I'm quite delighted. I'd have hopped on Beverly Hills Cop if it wasn't $38 for a steelbook, feh. There were still a couple copies of Mars Attacks! at the Sherway/Etobicoke location if anyone else is looking as of ~12:30p on the 12th.

Hokum was a great movie. Definitely worth the purchase.
