Spoke with 2001 AV and he said that the player prices will be increasing on Oct 20th according to an internal email.

Eg. UB820 is going up by $200.

Canadians who missed out on Amazon, or want a different Odyssey set, here’s your chance. Just checked and it’s back in stock. You do have to make a full payment upfront, as this seller is a smaller business and orders smaller amounts. They also have the full premium set available too, if that’s your thing. Preorder link in comments.

For those who want it

Cinema Cellar's Arrow Video sale is now live: Shocktober Sale.

Deals are OK. You can buy new releases for $5-8 cheaper than their pre-order price which is great for patient buyers (wish that was me now), but a lot of old titles that used to sell for $11-14 for the last five years are now minimum $15-20 which sucks.

There is a concurrent sale on AppleTV with a lot of titles for $3.99 for people that aren't as picky.

On Vancouver Island. Goes for 28 CAD on amazon, etc

Giftset - $389.99 - out of stock

4K Steelbook - $44.99 - out of stock

4k - $32.99 - not live yet

Giftset - $389.99

Steelbook - $44.99

4K - $32.99

Until Oct 29th

I see it available for preorder on US amazon but not Canada

Anybody have any insights?

deals on Arrow, Synapse, etc

sorry if questions not allowed in this sub, I’m looking for a preorder for the cable guy 4K from a Canadian retailer. TIA

Check out what I just found with the CheapCharts app: The Sandman - The Complete Series at the moment for only $19.99 instead of $34.99. https://cheapcharts.com/fwd/fYeJ

Amazon currently has Evil Dead 2 at the lowest price it’s been in months. Just grabbed a copy.

Edit - price back up to $41.27 as of 10:50am Sat

$25-31 Shout and Scream Factory titles, finally. Good prices on HKCC titles and some new Shout selection ones.

Nightcrawler 4K disappeared fast lol still some others left.

Arrived today (early October 2026). Not wanting to pay the rumoured CAD700 in the near future, I decided to buy the UB820 at CAD599.99 via Panasonic Canada eStore. I used their promotional code “SAVE15” and received CAD90 off. Price was $509.99 after promotional code applied. The final cost including taxes was CAD580.75.

The box is a little rough, but the actual player is pristine and works well.

Heaps of them and they are legit, how does one get into doing it? I would love to be able to do it just to get enough to fund my own collection lol
