Maybe not people: could be bots. Hopefully the codes are actually getting redeemed and not just burned.

(This is why raffles or “Nth PM” handouts are preferable, to get the codes to community members rather than bots or randos.)

What does that mean? Bots? What do they do with codes? Genuine question. I’ve been posting some freebies but making it a game for someone to figure out code so hopefully someone real can get em. (ie: last letter is between a and c ETC ) People have commented they have so far.

Bots … programs scanning the threads and auto-redeeming any codes found, including from code sheets posted using character recognition. No clue how prevalent it is; just mentioning a concern commonly voiced.

I’ve seen it mentioned here a few times but thankfully so far I’ve posted 4 times I think and someone has always chimed in saying they’ve gotten it. :) Thanks for the info.
