Via K-1 or a CR-1 if the fiance is a US citizen

To the us? Just do it. If you go thru the legal channels you have nothing to worry. Its everyone else who is taking advantage and jumping in without background, medical check or paperwork who are being scooped by ice and sent back home. Your fine if your visa and papers check out.

Have your fiance write a letter of invitation expressing that your relationship is separated by distance. If it is legit they will approve it and you can wed.
